JA Inspire is a no-cost career exploration resource that helps middle and high school students connect classroom learning to future careers. Through an engaging virtual platform, students explore high-demand industries and discover the education, skills, and pathways needed for a wide variety of careers. Designed to support career readiness goals, JA Inspire provides educators with flexible, standards-aligned resources that prepare students to make informed decisions about their futures.
Lobby
Students enter through the virtual lobby where they move amongst avatars to make their way to:
Company banners: Click on the banner to go directly to the company's career booth.
Auditorium: Watch webinars on career topics.
Exhibit Hall: Find company booths within the hall.
Activity Lab: Activities related to career readiness.
Exhibit Hall
Students visit booths that have videos, pamphlets, flyers, pictures, and career stories. Videos about "A day in the life of an employee"; "What I wanted to do in 8th grade and how I got where I am now"; resume tips; education needed for jobs at the company.
Students add provided information to their "virtual backpacks” and revisit it after they leave the fair. Students may reenter the fair after their initial visit and can share the information with other students, teachers, and adults at home.
Auditorium
Students watch webinars that include topics such as Getting Ready for Your Career, Peer Wisdom, Get Motivated, and Discover Entrepreneurship.
Activity Lab
Students learn about resume writing, cover letters, job applications and career pathways. All lessons are guided by a lesson plan that teachers can tailor to meet individual needs.
