What is
the York Region?
The York Region is
comprised of 12 school districts that cover the
York metro area.
These districts include: Northeastern, Eastern, Central
York, Dover Area, West York Area, Spring Grove Area,
Dallastown Area, York Suburban, Red Lion Area, Southern
York County, and South Eastern.
There
are four other districts in the Hanover area that we
have set up as a separate district.

How many students
participate in JA programs in the area?
JA of South Central PA currently reaches
over 21,000 students in the York Region.
This is out of student population of nearly 60,000.
(18,000 in-class and 3,000 in JA BizTown)
What is the Strategic Plan for the Region?
The
plan is called Vision 2011. It has a goal of
reaching 30,000 students in 2011.
The initiative
is a five year plan to continue to expand our impact in
terms of the number of students reached. The plan sets
specific goals for each fiscal year and outlines the
steps to achieve the goals. Vision 2011 calls for
reaching 30,000 student by 2011.
